We sell all of our firewood on a per-pound basis. Drive onto our big blue truck scales as you enter the yard. An employee will approach the scale shack, weigh your vehicle, help you answer any questions you might have, and point you in the right direction.
There are set prices for each type of wood we offer: 6¢/lb for white wood, 7¢ for dark, and 4¢ for our random-sized scrap pile.
There are three different ways to get loaded:
Hand-loading: any vehicle, any time during operating hours. We usually keep plenty of wood piled below our shed to be picked up. Usually no wait time, but that can change during our peak days.
Processor-loading: open top trailers and hard-bed trucks (firewood drops from about 8’ into vehicle). Wait times vary drastically depending on when you come to get firewood. Normal summer days, we can often get you filled within the hour. Late August- the winter months can range from about an hour to around 5 hours if you show up on a busy day. No reservations, no holds, first come, first serve.
Trailer Drop-Offs: If you want to leave your trailer with us over the weekend, we will take your information down, weigh your trailer, and we will get it filled on Monday to be picked up on Tuesday.
All three forms of pick up cost the same price, but each have their own benefits.
Dark Wood
Our dark wood is a mixture two of our densest locally grown firewood species: Douglas Fir and Larch. Not nearly as dense as hardwoods such as oak or maple, but still holding enough BTUs (British Burn Units) to burn through the night and keep coals in the morning.
We sell our dark wood for $.07/lb, which comes out to roughly $200 per cord on average.
We also often keep a small supply of birch on hand and can process it upon request (while supplies last). Our birch is also $.07/lb, but it comes out closer to $260 a per cord due to its heftiness.
White Wood
Our white wood is currently made up of about 80% lodgepole pine with some white pine and spruce mixed in. White wood in general is the softer, quicker burning wood of the two categories we offer. You won’t get as long of a burn time with it, but many people prefer heating their home with lodgepole, as it splits nicely, burns clean and is easy to ignite.
We sell our white wood for $.06/lb, which comes out to roughly $160 per cord.
Scrap/Campfire Wood
We keep a pile of random end-cuts and miss-sized pieces of wood that we sell at a discount. This is a mixture of dark and white wood.
$.04/lb, and it is available for handload only.
