FAQs
How long is the wait time for our processor?
Wait times vary greatly depending on variables such as weather (current or incoming), day of the week (Fridays tend to be busier than the middle of the week), or time of the year.
The average sized dump trailer takes 30-60 minutes to fill, so it all depends on how many trailers/trucks you get stuck behind. July wait times are usually less than an hour. Mid-September through November can see up to 6 hour waits, with an average of maybe 2-3 hours.
Hand loaders usually don’t have to wait too long too often. If you hit at the wrong time on a peak day, you could see up to an hour wait for us to drop firewood on the ground.
Does Wild Montana Wood deliver?
WMW does not deliver, however, a few of our employees do on their free time. You can submit your delivery requests through our contact page on this site, and they will be passed on to our employees. Please include where you are located, and how much wood you are roughly looking to receive.
Is your wood seasoned and ready to burn?
For the most part, yes. It is possible that a few logs that are still holding some moisture slip through with the masses. You will not be receiving green wood.
Is one type of wood drier than the others?
It is not always the case, but due to current resource availability, our white wood is more thoroughly dry from piece to piece than our dark wood is.
